Kingsbridge Community College congratulated on outstanding OFSTED report.

The official report on Kingsbridge Community College following their recent OFSTED inspection was released today. The College was judged to be an excellent school which, in OFSTED speak is the highest accolade that can be given. Indeed this is the first time that the inspector has given that rating in over 200 inspections and puts the College in the top 200 secondary schools nation wide. Speaking after the report was issued Totnes Parliamentary Spokesperson, Mike Treleaven said:

Local Resident chosen as New Candidate

For the first time in many years a genuinely local candidate will be standing for the Epsom & Ewell parliamentary constituency at the next General Election. Cllr. Jonathan Lees, a young family man who lives and works in Epsom, has been chosen to be the new Liberal Democrat candidate.

Cllr. Colin Taylor will question RA party leaders at next Tuesday's meeting of Epsom & Ewell Borough Council (EEBC), about their plans for enforcement of yellow lines now the police traffic warden has left. Surrey Police handed over responsibility for on-street parking on April 1st.

Council Tax Rise Amongst Highest In Country

Latest figures show Bedford Boroughs council tax rise to be the 11th highest of the country's 238 shire districts. This has sparked anger from local Liberal Democrats who campaigned to see council tax reduced and services saved for borough residents.
